I have been taking photographs since childhood. In December of 2000 I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Photography and Digital Imagery at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. In May 2006, after years experiencing and learning about the Bay area photo industry, I moved to New Zealand for 5.5 months. My work has grown to include outdoor adventure imagery, and since December I have been in Rossland creating imagery inspired by the unique mountain culture in British Columbia.
Daily, momentarily, I am awestruck by abstractions that I encounter. Color and light play off each other, and constantly create interesting compositions, which are often taken for granted. With my images, I attempt to freeze them, and bring these moments to consciousness. I hope to remind the viewer of tiny moments of existence which cummulate to give texture, color and shape to the world around us.
